Terms of Service
Last updated August 28, 2026.
These Terms govern your use of hiddenmx.org, the HiddenMX onion service and every HiddenMX account.
By visiting the service, creating an account or continuing to use an account, you agree to these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use HiddenMX. Existing users can delete their account from Settings.
You must be at least 18 years old to use HiddenMX.
What HiddenMX provides
HiddenMX provides browser-based email through its clearnet website and Tor onion service.
The service includes Free and Premium accounts. Features depend on the account type and may include mailbox storage, sending to HiddenMX users, sending to other domains and cryptocurrency payment processing.
HiddenMX is not an internet service provider, cloud backup service, file-hosting service or end-to-end encrypted messenger.
Accounts and access
Registration requires a username, password and CAPTCHA answer. We do not ask for your real name, phone number, recovery email or identity documents.
You are responsible for protecting your password, recovery key and signed-in sessions. Anyone with your password or recovery key may be able to control the account. We cannot guarantee that an account can be recovered if both are lost.
You may use a pseudonym and maintain more than one account. Accounts may also be shared, sold or transferred. HiddenMX does not verify account ownership or resolve disputes between people who know the password or recovery key.
You are responsible for activity performed through the account, including activity by anyone you allow to use it.
Your messages and content
You keep any ownership rights you have in messages, attachments and other content submitted through HiddenMX.
You give HiddenMX limited, non-exclusive permission to store, copy, process, scan, transmit and display that content only as needed to operate and protect the service, deliver mail, provide support and comply with valid legal requirements.
This permission ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except for copies already delivered to another person or provider and records retained under the Privacy Policy.
HiddenMX mail is not end-to-end encrypted by default. Administrators with access to the mail server can technically read stored messages. A receiving provider may also be able to read messages sent to another domain.
We do not guarantee that a message will be accepted, delivered, displayed in the correct folder or delivered by a specific time. Other providers may reject, delay, filter or delete mail outside our control.
Free and Premium accounts
Free accounts include:
- 100 MB of mailbox storage
- Sending to HiddenMX addresses
- Up to 5 unique recipients per UTC day
Each unique address in the To, Cc and Bcc fields counts toward the daily recipient limit.
A Free account that has never been upgraded is locked 40 days after registration. A locked account cannot open its mailbox or receive new mail. The account and stored mail are not deleted merely because the account is locked.
Premium accounts include:
- 1 GB of mailbox storage
- Sending to addresses outside HiddenMX
- Up to 50 unique recipients per UTC day
The current prices are €2 for one month and €19 for Lifetime Premium. The price and cryptocurrency amount shown when an invoice is created control that purchase.
Premium does not renew automatically. A one-month purchase begins or extends the Premium period after the payment is confirmed.
When a one-month upgrade expires, the account returns to Free limits. Existing mail is not deleted, but an account using more than 100 MB cannot receive new mail until it is below the Free quota.
A first confirmed Premium payment permanently clears the initial 40-day account lock for that account.
Lifetime Premium lasts only while both the account and the HiddenMX service exist. It does not promise that HiddenMX will operate for any minimum period or that current Premium features will remain unchanged.
We may change Free or Premium prices, storage, recipient limits, external-delivery access and other plan features at any time. Changes may apply to existing one-month and Lifetime Premium accounts without notice or refund, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Cryptocurrency payments
HiddenMX accepts the cryptocurrencies and networks shown on the payment page. Payments are one-time purchases, not subscriptions.
An invoice contains a quoted cryptocurrency amount and deposit address. The quote expires after 48 hours. An invoice activates after the system detects enough payment with at least one blockchain confirmation.
You are responsible for:
- Sending the correct cryptocurrency
- Using the supported network
- Sending to the address shown on the invoice
- Paying any wallet or network fees
- Checking the amount before sending
A payment sent with the wrong asset, token contract, network or address may be permanently lost. HiddenMX cannot reverse a blockchain transaction.
Expired invoice addresses remain checked for late payments. If you already paid an expired invoice, do not pay it again. Wait for its status to update or contact support.
Overpayments do not create additional service and are not refunded automatically.
Confirmed cryptocurrency payments are final. We provide refunds only for duplicate payments, a confirmed HiddenMX billing error or when applicable law requires one.
Acceptable use and account closure
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. It explains what is allowed, what is prohibited and how abuse reports are reviewed.
One confirmed Acceptable Use Policy violation results in permanent account deletion without warning, appeal or refund.
Separately, HiddenMX may limit, lock, close or permanently delete an account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or without stating a reason. This may include security concerns, suspected abuse, legal requirements, inactivity, technical risk or operational decisions.
This discretion applies to Free, one-month Premium and Lifetime Premium accounts. Account closure does not create a right to a refund except for the payment exceptions stated above or rights that cannot legally be waived.
We may preserve specific records when required for an active security investigation, abuse investigation or valid legal demand. Retained records are handled under the Privacy Policy.
Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account from Settings. You may also enable automatic deletion after 3, 6, 12 or 24 months without a login.
Account deletion removes the account, invoices and linked support tickets from the database. The mailbox is queued for filesystem deletion.
Messages already delivered to another person or provider cannot be deleted from their systems. Public blockchain records cannot be deleted. Operational records remain until the retention periods in the Privacy Policy end.
Account deletion is permanent. The address or username may later become available to someone else.
Service availability and changes
HiddenMX is provided without a service-level agreement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, continuous operation, message delivery, data retention or compatibility with every browser, wallet, mail provider or network.
Maintenance, attacks, software failures, hardware failures, upstream outages, legal requirements and other events may interrupt the service.
We may add, remove, suspend or change any feature, price, plan or limit at any time without notice.
We may suspend or permanently shut down some or all of HiddenMX at any time without notice. No Free, one-month Premium or Lifetime Premium purchase guarantees that the service will continue for any minimum period.
Keep your own copies of messages or attachments that you cannot afford to lose.
Third-party systems
HiddenMX depends on systems outside our control, including Tor, internet providers, hosting networks, domain name services, recipient mail providers, cryptocurrency networks, wallet software, exchange-rate providers and blockchain gateways.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, fees or actions of those systems.
Links to other websites do not mean that HiddenMX controls or endorses them.
Security and anonymity limits
HiddenMX is designed to reduce the personal information required for registration and to work without browser JavaScript. The onion service provides a way to access the web interface through Tor.
These features do not make you untraceable. Email headers, account activity, payment records, mail delivery records, recipient providers and people you communicate with can reveal information about you.
Tor protects the web connection to the onion service. It does not make ordinary email end-to-end encrypted or keep mail sent to another provider inside Tor.
You are responsible for deciding whether HiddenMX is suitable for your security and privacy needs.
Warranties
To the fullest extent allowed by law, HiddenMX is provided as is and as available.
We do not make promises about uptime, delivery, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy, security, anonymity or freedom from errors.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, HiddenMX is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss. This includes lost profits, lost opportunities, lost cryptocurrency, missed messages, lost mailbox data, account deletion, reputational damage and actions taken by another mail provider.
Our total liability for direct claims arising from HiddenMX will not exceed the greater of:
- €20
- The amount you paid to HiddenMX during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim
This limit applies across all claims relating to the same event or related events.
The limit does not apply to fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
Law and disputes
These Terms do not select a governing country, court or arbitration system. The laws and courts that apply will be determined under otherwise applicable law.
Contact support before starting a formal dispute so we have a chance to investigate the issue.
Nothing in these Terms removes consumer, privacy or other legal rights that cannot be waived where you live.
Changes to these Terms
We will update this page and its date when these Terms change. When practical, we will provide an account notice or email if a change materially affects existing users.
Changes take effect when published unless the notice states a later date. Continuing to use HiddenMX after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not accept a change, stop using HiddenMX and delete your account.
